Turn off all antivirus software before you begin.
The scripts that enable PE features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and input methods run with very high privileges, so antivirus software easily flags them as high-risk and deletes them. As a result, PE may fail to boot, or it may boot with errors everywhere and missing features.
Required tool: Dism++
This guide applies to all PEs.
This guide recommends using the Arm build of Dism++ on an Arm computer to service an Arm64 PE image and import matching Arm64 drivers. Importing drivers from an x86 platform is very likely to produce errors.
BYDJ PE’s support for x86 application translation does not mean x86 drivers can be installed normally.
If you do not have the device’s driver files, export them with Dism++ first. Do not substitute an EXE driver installer for the exported driver files.

Preparation: export the system drivers
First, open Dism++ and click “Driver Management”.
We do not recommend the community edition of Dism++ (known as DISM-- or DISM#) because it has no Arm support.
Next, click “Select all drivers”, then click “Export drivers”.
Then choose a suitable location to export to. In this example, a new folder named “小米 book 12.4 二合一 Windows 驱动” (Xiaomi Book 12.4 2-in-1 Windows drivers) was created under X:\驱动 (X:\Drivers). The path shown in the screenshot is for reference only.

Step 1
Double-click the downloaded PE ISO to open it. If you downloaded a WIM file, go straight to Step 2.

In Dism++, open File → Apply Image (Ctrl+N), then use the browse button to choose the WIM file, as shown below.
Locate and select the WIM file for your downloaded PE. If you opened an ISO, the WIM file is usually in the sources folder in the ISO’s root directory.

Choose a suitable folder for applying the image. Once you have finished, you can boot into PE to remove the extracted working files. The path shown is only an example.
Wait for the image to finish applying.

Select the image labeled “WinNT ARM64” at the top, open the driver management section, choose the option to add drivers, and select the folder containing your exported driver files.
Wait for driver import to finish, then preferably save the modified image to a separate empty folder and keep the original download as a backup. If you extracted the ISO and need to replace boot.wim in the working folder, confirm that the original is backed up before removing the old working copy and saving the new image. This avoids appending an image to the original file or confusing the old and new files.

Step 5
Finally, choose the save location and file name (the screenshot is for reference only). When saving finishes, the PE image with the added drivers is ready.
To boot the PE with the added drivers, replace BOOT.WIM in the ISO image with the exported file.
