Applications must still meet their own dependency requirements. Application translation support does not mean x86-platform drivers can be installed.
Whether a device can run BYDJ PE depends on its Windows boot support and whether the selected version matches it.
Prerequisite: The processor itself must be able to boot Windows. If the original Windows cannot boot on the device and there are no usable drivers or community resources, BYDJ PE cannot boot either. Some Chinese-made platforms (such as Zhaoxin, Hygon and Phytium) can boot it, but because of differences in firmware and instruction sets, behavior on real hardware may differ from a virtual machine and should be tested on the actual hardware.
Does not start in a virtual machine: If an ISO exported by the installer fails to boot in a virtual machine, email us a screenshot of the virtual machine settings together with the specifications of the physical computer so we can investigate.
Boot from a USB drive fails on a physical computer: If a drive made with a third-party tool such as Ventoy does not boot, use the project’s own PE installer to create the bootable drive directly.
First remove all non-essential drivers and keep only the most basic ones: storage, USB controllers, and keyboard/mouse/touchpad.

Use a currently maintained release whenever possible; avoid historical releases unless you need them.
1. Modifying this PE without permission is prohibited, and so is distributing or spreading any modified version. The reasons are:
Modifications used only for internal testing and not made public are exempt. To request authorization, contact bydjpe.support@gmail.com.
2. If you use a modified or original BYDJ PE to make videos, tutorials, reviews or other public content, you must clearly credit the PE name "BYDJ PE".
If you confirm that your image is a modified version publicly distributed without authorization, stop using it and delete it. Obtain a copy from the project's release channels so that its source and maintenance information can be checked.
If security software displays a warning while you use the installer, check the package source and checksum, and proceed carefully based on what the warning says.
This installer can deploy PE to an existing Windows boot environment, add the drivers you need, create an ISO image, or write PE to a USB flash drive or external hard drive. Each method has different requirements for the device’s boot conditions and the target media. Before you begin, back up important data and your boot configuration, follow the instructions strictly, and take responsibility for your own actions and their results. If you run into boot problems, first check your device model, PE version, boot method and driver configuration, or contact the maintenance team through the feedback channel.
Official BYDJ PE releases published by the project contain no ads, paid features, promotional bundles or unconfirmed changes to browser settings. Get official Microsoft installation media from Microsoft’s official website.
